Privacy and terms
The short version: searching is anonymous, your journal never reaches us, and we don’t sell anything to anyone.
Searching is anonymous
No account, no login, no cookie tying a search to you. We count how often categories are used in aggregate, never who used them.
The app holds two things
Your name and email, and which week you’re on. That is the entire record.
Your writing stays yours
Prompts are copied to your own notes app. Nothing you write is transmitted to us, stored by us, or read by anyone.
What we collect
- Resource search: nothing identifying. Aggregate category counts only.
- App account: name, email address, and curriculum progress.
- Listing reports and volunteer sign-ups: whatever you type into those forms.
What we never collect
- Journal entries, reflections, or anything you write in response to a prompt.
- Health information, diagnoses, or recovery status.
- Precise location history. If you tap “use my location” we use it for that search and discard it.
Third parties
Place data comes from Google Maps and is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We do not run advertising or analytics trackers on the resource directory.
Deleting your account
Email info@elemental-recovery.org and we’ll delete the record within seven days. Since we hold almost nothing, there is almost nothing to delete.
Terms of use
Elemental Recovery is not a healthcare provider, a crisis service, or a substitute for professional treatment. Listings are provided as information only; we do not endorse or guarantee any organization in the directory, and hours and eligibility change without notice. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. If you are in crisis, call or text 988.
Full limitations on the use of our material are set out in our disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.
Have counsel review this page before launch — particularly if the program is ever delivered as part of licensed treatment, which may bring HIPAA or 42 CFR Part 2 into scope.
